Experience
Dr. Davis received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Utah, and shortly afterwards moved to Omaha, Nebraska completing his dental education at Creighton School of Dentistry. Here, he received honors as the most outstanding operative dentist.
With a strong interest in surgery, Dr. Davis was then accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship program at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, training along side internationally-known oral surgeon Peter Larson. With this additional training, he was able to expand his scope of practice to procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting procedures, facial trauma repair, management of dental infections and oral pathology, and intravenous sedation.
With a passion for surgery and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Davis moved back to Utah to start a private practice centered around facial and dental esthetics, advanced smile design, and dental implant rehabilitation and reconstruction.
Dr. Davis also loves teaching. He began his academic career in 2014, serving as adjunct faculty at Roseman School of Dentistry in South Jordan, UT, teaching oral surgery to dental students and dental implantology and management of complex cases to AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residents.
In 2017, he began a career as a speaker on both a national and international level. Recently, he was invited to speak at the FACE International Congress in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to speak on the subject of integrating smile design with facial esthetics. He teaches oral surgery courses around the country along side world-renowned lecturer and speaker, Dr. Karl Koerner and joined the Koerner Center for Surgical Instruction team, in 2018.
Dr. Davis is a member of American Board of Oral Implantology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Digital Smile Design, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Utah Dental Association.
